Grade Level: Preschool - 1st Grade
In this book children are introduced to many basic concepts through the exploration of a variety of literature selections. The flannelboard stories, rhymes, and finger plays are presented in four thematic units. Each unit is based on a season. The contents will assist the students with basic phonemic awareness and auditory discrimination and can be used to provide an introduction to phonics. The selected stories are favorites. Simple, easy-to-make puppets and related activities accompany each presentation. Young learners are introduced to seasons and holidays by acting out different pieces of literature.
Grade Level: Preschool - 6th Grade
Lots of patterns are presented for each of the four seasons and their corresponding holidays, including St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day and more. The book also includes teacher-tested ideas for using the patterns. There are several ways to use the patterns in this book.
