Preschool Puppets / Flannel Board Stories
Grade Level: Preschool - First Grade Use finger plays, flannelboard stories, and puppets to hold young learners' attention while they learn basic literacy concepts. Stories, directions, and patterns for the puppets and flannelboard pieces are provided along with many activities. The standards for early childhood addressed in each section are listed in the beginning of the unit. One or more teaching tips to support the use of the materials accompanies each unit, as does an art activity for expansion of the concept. Ideas for supporting children with special needs and additional enrichment activities round out each unit of stories and patterns.
